WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?
The lash lift procedure has revolutionized old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. Combined with the tinting solution, your lashes look longer, fuller and darker without the disomfort or cost associated with extensions!
IS THE LASH LIFT THE SAME AS A LASH PERM?
No the Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor . Whilst the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. The silicone pads used for this procedure lifts the lash from the root and produces bright, beautiful results.
DOES THE LASH PROCEDURE HURT?
No! It is actually quite comfortable and many consider it to be relaxing as you're laying with your eyes closed for most of the time.
IS THE LASH LIFT SAFE?
Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied. It is safe and comfortable.
WILL THE PROCEDURE DAMAGE MY LASHES?
No. The products applied are safe for application and since nothing is being weighted to the lash, like an eyelash extension, the lashes remain in tact.
HOW LONG WILL THE APPOINTMENT TAKE?
A lash lift can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end.
HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT THE LASH LIFT TO LAST?
A Lash Lift can last 6-10 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.
WILL I HAVE A REACTION TO THE PRODUCTS?
Laura has never experienced anyone having an allergic reaction to the Lashlift. A patch test can be done days before the procedure if there is concern. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.
I WEAR CONTACT LENSES. CAN I STILL GET THE PROCEDURE?
Yes but we ask that you remove them before having the procedure.
CAN I STILL WEAR MAKEUP?
Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET THE LASH LIFT DONE?
A lash lift will begin to naturally drop after 6-10 weeks after your appointment and your lashes will be back to their natural look. The lashes should drop evenly and will not look out of place. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of one month if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state.
